Meet the Team Behind the Clay

At Klaus Klay, we all about and spreading joy and creativity. Our team is a small but mighty mix of sweet cats, one very enthusiastic dog, and a human hands (just for the thumbs really) who help bring it all together.

From quality control and creative direction to HR and IT support, every team member plays a vital role in making sure each piece is created with care, character, and a little touch of chaos.

  • Klaus Mouse is the original inspiration behind Klaus Klay. Equal parts curious and charming, he oversees all studio activity and all creations. When he's not inspecting fresh blobs or supervising kiln cycles, Klaus can be found napping in his box or munching on his favourite treats and even sometimes climbing on the roof or up a tree to inspect a curious sound or smell.

  • With his warm ginger coat and even warmer personality, Oliver is the friendly face of Klaus Klay. Whether he’s greeting guests, photobombing product shoots, or muscling in on workshop participants' space, Oliver ensures everyone feels welcome. He’s charming, affectionate, and always on brand — especially when there’s a camera or a snackie involved.

  • Don’t let her dainty paws fool you — Aika runs a tight ship. As Head of HR, she’s in charge of studio boundaries, nap schedules, and ensuring everyone respects personal space (hers, mostly). With a sharp eye and sass to spare, Aika keeps the team in line and the standards high — all while looking effortlessly fabulous.

  • Lennie is Klaus’s right paw and all things quality control. With a sharp eye for detail and a natural flair for design, Lennie takes his role seriously — always on the go, he gets things done and loves inspecting glaze finishes, testing the sturdiness of shelves, and occasionally sitting directly on freshly made pieces to ensure they're up to standard.

  • Yuki is Klaus Klay’s resident IT expert who apparently keeps a close eye on all things tech — from overseeing WiFi signals to inspecting keyboards with great precision (often while lying across them). When not sleeping (which is always) he's apparently managing software updates and investigating mysterious beeping sounds.

  • Roux is the only canine on the team. Eager to please and full of tail-wagging optimism, she throws herself into every task, from studio greetings to emotional support during glaze mishaps. Roux conceptualised the Blob Dog project, passionately advocating for dogs to be represented in the Blob range. When she’s not shadowing Klaus she enjoys power naps with the cats and her daily walkies with her sister and humans.
